Academic Partners

Sattam bin Abdulaziz University partnered with the University of California, Irvine,  Henry Samueli School of Engineering to establish the Saudi Arabia International Program.  A public University located in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, the school is home to over 1,300 academic staff and over 9,000 students.  The University was established in 2007, as Al-Kharj University and later renamed in 2009 by a royal decree to Salman bin AbdulAziz University and in 2014 to Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education in Saudi Arabia and under the Presidency of  Dr Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al-Asmi. Vice Rector Dr Awad Al-Asmari laid the foundation for the collaboration between the two Universities and established an inaugural kickoff for the program in summer 2011 with students participating in a 10-week intensive program. In 2012, Vice Rector Dr. Abdulaziz Alhamed established the second cycle of the program with students again attending the summer training.
