Welcome Reception Held for the 2013 Summer Undergraduate Visitor Program Students

Jun. 29, 2013 – Students from Salman bin Abdulaziz University gathered on the top floor of the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences to be welcomed to the SUVP 2013 program.  Attended by various professors, staff, graduate students, and UCI notables, the event celebrated the second start to the SAU Program.

Honored guest Dr. Osama Algahtani was in attendance, and gave a speech along with Professor Ahmed Eltawil and each of the Mentor Professors in the SAU Program.  Dinner and Refreshements were served as the students finished their first week of orientations and settling in to the University of California, Irvine. in the picture, Associate Dean for student affairs, John LaRue, welcomes the students to UCI.
