Students display their projects at the 2013 SAU program symposium

Sept. 5, 2013 – In a Symposium showcasing all of the projects the students worked on for the entirety of their Summer Undergraduate Visitor Program, the students from Salman bin Abdulaziz University took to the Henry Samueli School of Engineering’s Colloquia Room floor to present their work.  Consisting of 12 projects, the 18 visiting students presented posters detailing their academic stay and fielded questions from Dean Gregory Washington, honored guest Dean Abdullah Aljumah, attending professors, graduate students and staff.  Set up around the perimeter of the room, attendees questioned the students and engaged with their projects on a person to person basis.

After a few words from Program Director Ahmed Eltawil, Dean Gregory Washington, and honored guest Dr. Abdullah Aljumah, the students were presented their certificates for completion of the program.  A best in symposium prize was awarded to the poster and presentation which impressed the attendees the most;  Mohamed Aljohani, Mohammad Alobaidan, and Ahmed Almalki walked off with the prize for presenting their project, the Solar Panel Tracker (group pictured below).

A congratulations to all the students for a year well done.
